In 2022 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma and my world turned upside down. I'd rather worry about my homework, than chemotherapy and juggling frequent hospital visits.
During treatment I learned that food insecurity is the greatest burden challenging many families at the hospital.
Chemo makes me nauseous, exhausted and uncomfortable. Can you imagine enduring cancer, while uncertain about your next meal?
Yet, for many families this is reality.
Together with Prosper Chicago, the Friends of Gabrielle (FOG) are committed to helping families have one less thing to worry about. Together, we make a difference.
